Putterman Athletics Welcomes Drew Gordon

Press Release - Putterman Athletics Welcomes Drew Gordon

DeLand, FL  — Putterman Athletics announces the addition of Drew Gordon as Business Development Manager. Drawing on his experience in collegiate event and facility operations, Gordon will help develop new business opportunities in the athletic facility market while supporting customers with a practical understanding of their needs.

Gordon joins Putterman following roles at Wake Forest University and the University of Florida, most recently serving as Director of Event and Facility Operations at Wake Forest. His background spans facility improvements, capital projects, event management, and collaboration with athletic leadership, coaches, and staff.

At the University of Florida, Gordon participated in new facility openings, including Condron Ballpark, the Heavener Football Training Center, and the university’s women’s soccer suite. At Wake Forest, he oversaw graphics, maintenance, and facility improvement projects and served as Championship Director for the 2025 ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in sport management from the University of Florida.

“Drew’s experience and personality align with Putterman’s culture and our growth initiatives across the athletic market,” said Chris Allen, President of Putterman Athletics. “His firsthand knowledge of facility operations brings credibility and a consultative approach that will help us deliver a high level of service to our customers. We’re excited for him to share new ideas and professional experiences while contributing to the culture of our team.”

Having worked on the customer side of facility purchasing and planning, Gordon understands the considerations behind selecting the right products—from addressing immediate operational needs to preparing future improvements. His experience across facilities of different ages, sizes, and scopes will help him guide customers toward solutions that support their goals over time.

“My experience in collegiate athletics has had a common theme. Excellence isn’t just an expectation; it’s a tradition,” said Gordon. “Joining Putterman allows me to align my values with a company that sees our goal similarly: to help serve others, while ultimately helping to create and shape the future of facilities.”

In his new role, Gordon will build relationships with athletic facility professionals, identify opportunities for Putterman’s products and services, and help customers navigate decisions that improve their facilities for athletes, staff, and visitors.
