NoiseGard™ QPS Acoustic Barrier System

The Noisegard™ Quilted Panel System is a 4-layer composite system that is weather-resistant and sound-absorbing, featuring a layer of filament batting. Unwanted soundwaves enter our 4-layer NoiseGard QPS composite system through the weather-resistant, quilted fabric covering and are absorbed into a layer of sound-absorbing filament batting. Behind that, we add a sound-blocking 1 lb/sf mass-loaded vinyl (MLV) and back each panel of the QPS system with a durable vinyl cover.

Description

NoiseGard™ QPS Acoustic Barrier System helps in two ways: blocking and absorbing. The mass-loaded vinyl layer helps reduce pass-through sound, while the filament batting helps absorb sound waves instead of allowing them to reflect back into the court area. Putterman’s 2025 QPS cut sheet describes the system as reducing pass-through sound transmission up to 30 decibels while also absorbing and trapping unwanted sound waves.

How it works

The panels are installed along a fence line or court boundary where sound needs to be controlled. Once hung, the quilted acoustic face helps catch and absorb sound, while the dense inner mass loaded vinyl layer helps block sound from traveling through the panel. The reinforced vinyl backing adds durability and structure.

Each NoiseGard™ QPS Acoustic Barrier System section includes top and bottom grommets, Velcro locking strips on both sides, and optional coated hanging hooks for faster installation and removal. The system is designed so panels can be joined together to cover larger fence areas, which is important because sound can escape through gaps.
